Alex DialMy continuing journey through performance has been a process of evolving and expansive multimedia. I began performance at 14 with poetry and spoken word readings in the idyllic Ashland, Oregon, before moving on to the stage for such plays as Shakespeare's The Tempest and Last Leaf, as well as independent films and sketch comedy. At 16, I studied Capoeira under Mestre Amen Santos via instructor Jennifer Fletcher. At 20, I diversified into fire dancing, specializing in Staff and Swords, eventually mastering double-staff and Contact, as well as fire breathing, which led me to join and work for two years with the Hades Ladies and Company of San Diego's North County, while honing my Kung Fu skills in Choy Li Fut. My strengths are primarily in crazy acrobatics, flexibility, and fearlessness. My goal is to push my own limits, to safeguard and protect the members of Kazum, and most of all, to have and create fun, everywhere I go!
Alex joined Kazum in October of 2008.
